The Endocrinology & Metabolism program at Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital of Loyola provides advanced diagnosis and treatment for these conditions and more. As diet and nutrition can often be a contributing factor, we also offer personalized nutritional counseling.

Patients with type I and type II diabetes are evaluated in the Diabetes Clinic by a team that includes the pediatric endocrinologist, diabetes nurse educator, dietitian and social worker. We’ll ensure that your family knows the latest techniques for treating and managing your child’s condition.

Pediatric Lipid Clinic
Here, a pediatric endocrinologist and dietitian can evaluate patients with lipid disorders and/or a family history of early coronary disease.

Metabolic Bone Disease Clinic
This clinic provides evaluation and treatment of recurrent fractures, osteoporosis and rickets.
