The full range of diagnostic testing includes skin tests with allergenic extracts, pulmonary function testing and sweat tests.

Pulmonology
Pediatric pulmonologists at Loyola diagnose and treat lung diseases, including:

• Cystic fibrosis
• Recurrent pneumonia
• Bronchopulmonary dysplasia
• Chronic cough
• Respiratory problems of children with multiple disabilities
• Pediatric sleep apnea

Diagnostic procedures include bronchoscopy, sleep studies, pulmonary function testing and sweat tests.

Specialty Services

Asthma Program
Patients learn how to control their asthma so they can live without restrictions. Services include education programs, nutrition and exercise counseling as well as stress reduction instruction.

Cystic Fibrosis Program
Loyola's pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of pediatric pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, Cystic fibrosis nurses, a nutritionist and a respiratory therapist. For more information, click here.
